Here is some interesting background information about the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. The calendar used by the famous Maya culture.
The Maya Long Count calendar "ends" in 2012. Did they foresee something that will mean the end of man and civilization as we know it, maybe even earth? Together we can improve our changes of survival as December 2012 approaches closer and closer.
